PHOENIX – The Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden announced last week that Dave Chihuly will be presenting its glass art exhibit in the valley.
The exhibition will showcase his world-famous glass art on a large scale from December 3 until June 18, 2022, according to a press release.
“Chihuly in the Desert” will be presented at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West in Scottsdale.
“Chihuly and Frank Lloyd Wright, two American originals drawing inspiration from the country’s unique physical and cultural landscapes, are a perfect fit for Taliesin West,” said Stuart Graff, president and CEO of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, in the statement.
Chihuly’s art is featured in more than 200 museums and has mounted works in six different gardens around the world, the statement said.
Tickets for Chihuly in the Desert go on sale October 4.
“With our World Heritage buildings and mountainous desert as a backdrop, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation presents its first exhibition of its kind, revealing how art, architecture and nature come together to connect our visitors more deeply with the world around them, ”Graff said.
