Children of war
My friend Wade just sent me this email and it touched my heart. I wanted to share it here.
I guess distance, and the fact I am not well traveled, has blinded me a bit to other people around the world. I used to think of them as a faceless group unimaginably far away…but after e-mailing recently with someone VERY well traveled, hearing tales of far off lands, and seeing a few photographs of these travels, a realization has been brought home to me. The people in distant corners of this tiny planet are not faceless, they are individuals just like you and me. They have the same basic needs, wants, desires, and rights. We all feel joy, sadness, hope, despair, pride, fear, hunger, and pain the same way.
I’ve recently become aware of a terrible situation in Northern Uganda that seems to have been ignored by the world at large for quite some time. The lives of children are being shattered. Please click the link to find out more, and to sign the No More Children Soldiers petition.

I just signed it myself
Although it seems just a drop in the ocean – the ocean does exist, doesn’t it?
Yep, every little bit DOES help. I believe that. :good-vibes:
