Freaky Friday

ARN weather

You know it’s gonna be an interesting day when you open the paper (this is the online version, of course) and one of the headlines reads: Heavy weather headed our way. Uh-oh. THAT can’t be good.

We’ve decided to carpool in The Guv today. Poor Buick. I hope he doesn’t get beat to death by hail. He’s taken us so many places…but we can’t risk having our other cars damaged. We’re still paying for them and will be for a long time to come.

I had a feeling this spring would be more volatile than most weather-wise. We had a mild winter, so you know something’s going to happen before too long. We live in what’s known as Tornado Alley, but so far Abilene has dodged a bullet. We’ve had sightings in the past, but it’s never been a major ordeal. I think we’ve fallen into complacency, which is never a good thing. The warning system we had, the tornado sirens, are a thing of the past and have been for years. They were old and in need of repair and the City didn’t feel the need to continue using them.

I hope that doesn’t come back to bite us.  :ass:

  1. Hope your start into the weekend is a good one – no accidents, no hail-battered cars, and especially no major natural disasters!!!

The weather’s really the topic to talk/write/complain about! I wonder how much crazier it can get… Every other day Daniel asks me “do you remember the movie The Day After Tomorrow?” And it does make you think, doesn’t it?

LOL. My favourite subject alright!!! :roflol: (see my blog ;) )

  2. Hey girl, actually I have nothing new to add – apart from my new cool gravatar!! :D (and thanks for the hint to get it in the first place! ;) )

  3. You go girl! :dancingbanana2:
