Goodbye Stranger, it’s been nice
My heart is breaking as I write this. In fact, I just had a really good cry. Something I haven’t done in a long time. I guess I needed it.
Randy sent me this email yesterday:
Went over to Companion Veterinary….and they had the same phone number on file…as is on the tag. They also had a work number on the owner…at Buffalo Wild Wings. They called over there and the person is no longer employed at B-wild. BUT, I really think that the lady you talked to…is probably the Mom of the cat’s owner….and maybe her son moved out…..and she just turned the cat out and quit caring for it. The owner’s name is Eli Mize….and the cat’s name…is CLETUS!!!!! I would bet you money that I’m right about the situation. The cool thing is that the cat was originally a Humane Society cat……and they will take him back!!! I told her that we already had two cats, and really shouldn’t keep him…and she said no problem, just bring him back. So…you did a very, very good thing for that kitty!! He didn’t end up road kill….and he’s not going to end up on death row at the pound either!!

Then why does my heart feel so bad? I bawled as Randy drove away with Cletus in tow, peering out the window at me. That’s how quickly I become attached to these little souls.
To add insult to injury, I have a summer cold. Right on schedule with the 100-plus temps that started yesterday. It’s nasty little bug that’s been going around my workplace. Yep, we’re just like a family alright. :fever:
So sorry, but hopefully they will find it a good home..
Ah, I know just how you feel!
Someone is going to love him with his cute little pink nose. He looks like a real sweetheart!
:good-vibes:
