I’m so lucky and proud to be an American. Although I don’t believe war is ever the solution or answer, I have the utmost respect and love for those who have sacrificed all to protect our freedom. Today, I will focus and reflect on what it means. Remeber all the men and women who have lost their lives for my sake. Husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, friends. They gave their all. I can’t imagine such a selfless act. I pray for the loved ones they left behind, that they can find peace. I know it hurts.
Dyess AFB is a major part of the community where I live. These people keep our economy healthy while they are stationed here. I shudder to think what would happen if they ever close the base. Can you say ghost town? Maybe I’m being a bit dramatic, but I hope I never have to find out.
Thank you freedom fighters. Words can’t express my gratitude adequately. We don’t love war, but we will always love you.

While i share your thoughts on those out their fighting – it has to be for something….and Bush’s War is NOT for anything…other than greed.
