I have neglected my blogging and cyberspace duties et al. I’m trying to remember what’s truly important in life, which means my husband, family and friends. I’m on the road less traveled at the moment, at least in the form of attempting to reinvent myself at age 44-1/2. What a day, a year, a life it is (as a friend once said!).
Sometimes I realize I’ve taken on too much, but like my Dad put it in his book, Flashback to the Golden Years, “I was never happy unless (words that escape me go here) and my hair was on fire.” I’ve definitely inherited more from him than meets the eye.
Off to Fredericksburg tomorrow for a little day-tripping and mini-shopping. Can’t afford much, but it’s sure great to get down into that Hill Country again. :meditate:
Thank you for your patience and patronage.

Hope you’re having a grrrreat time!!! You shouldn’t speak of “duty” when it comes to blogging – and internet in general. But of course I know where you’re coming from LOL!
By the way, I don’t want to appear picky, but shouldn’t that line read “What a day, a year, a laugh it is” ??
I’ve sung “life” for over 20 years, until I looked up the lyrics and was utterly surprised!! :roflol:
Hmmm…I have my doubts about “laugh.” Will have to ask Roger about that someday.
You and Randy have a great weekend! I didn’t realize how close the floodwaters came to your house! Glad you folks are ok…and you deserve a little shopping at the very least!
Good to hear everything is OK after all that water. Wishing you fun on your shopping trip! :daisy:
I’ve been so out of it for the past few days, I didn’t realize Abilene had been hit so hard by the rain.
Glad to know everyone is okay.
I hope you had fun in Fredricksburg. There is nothing like getting away for a while, even if it’s just for a day.
