Pieces of April

The title of this post reminds me of a song by Three Dog Night, but more about that another time.

This morning we’re having spring thunderstorms. Large hail and damaging winds had been in yesterday’s forecast so I figured I’d be awake for part of the night last night, but thankfully it wasn’t to be. Mainly it’s straight down rain with a few rumbles and flashes. I’m down with that! I walked out in bare feet onto the cool, wet grass to get the newspaper this morning and it felt good.

I know my friend Wade is thinking “ack” about now while he’s reading this, living near Seattle and all. But he understands where I’m coming from. I had the pleasure of speaking to him on the phone on Saturday and it was a fun and enjoyable conversation. I explained to him that “strange ball of light” in the sky is actually the SUN. :sunny: I look forward to the day when we finally meet in person and have that beer together!

More rain expected through Friday night. Bring it on!

  1. I have nothing against rain (at all!) – it’s the bloody cold inside our house that gets to me. It can only warm up (and then a real lot!!) in summer. So let summer come!!! :D

Why have I always thought that you and Wade had met already?? :stupid:

  2. I love the sun..here it comes..
I bet that beer will be fun.. :sunny: :good-vibes: :daisy: :dancingbanana2: Have a Happy Weekend.. :dancingbanana2: :drummer: :daisy:

“ACK!” :naughty: Well, we’ve had a few peeks at that bright orb in the sky finally, but once again as the weekend approaches the rain makes it’s way back in. I look forward to that beer too (maybe even two!)!!
