I’m not one to run to the doctor’s office every time I feel under the weather, but this stomach thing has finally gotten on my last nerve. I woke up in the middle of the night in pain again. Enough’s enough!
I made an appointment yesterday, for 11 this morning. I’m lucky they were able to get me in that soon. Of course, the only reason is because I’m seeing the P.A. I usually see, rather than the D.O.
My biggest fear is that she’ll want to run tests, i.e. endoscopy and/or colonoscopy. Yuk. I’d rather try medication before resorting to these invasive procedures. Besides, even with insurance, it will cost me a fortune if I have to go that route by the time I pay deductibles and other expenses not covered.
Clear Channel has put all of the Abilene group of radio stations up for sale, and we’re in a kind of limbo…so we don’t know what’s going to happen with our insurance coverage and Randy’s job situation. He was told it could be up to a year before a buyer meets their price. So far all offers have been turned down. In the meantime, no money is being spent on upkeep, making it really difficult for all the employees to do their jobs effectively.
It’s always something, as Gilda Radner used to say.
Wish me luck today. I’m ready to feel good again.
