Time To Produce

After asking my Account Manager this week about being moved to production from hourly status, I found out I was put on production last week because I had exceeded my hourly pay.  Woot!  This means I am now paid by the line.  The only drawback is the mandatory overtime that is called for on some days, which only applies to those on production.  Yep, I had to work an hour extra yesterday.

We hit 106 yesterday.  It’s supposed to be a mere 102 today.  Of course, that’s what they said yesterday and look what happened.

The sky is beautiful this morning.  God has his paint box out.  There’s a large line of clouds on the radar north of us.  Dare I hope that we could get anything from the 20% chance of rain predicted?

*goes out to do a rain dance*

We reached the predicted 102 yesterday for a high temp with more of the same this week and Lord knows how many more.  *sigh*  We began an effort to rescue our almost-dead St. Augustine in the front yard by watering yesterday morning and this morning.  May be too little too late, but time will tell.

Is it Monday again?!

Bad Karma this morning.  I unintentionally made my husband upset this morning, talking about his job.  *sigh*  Then, I logged in to do some work and my pool was empty.  They offered to have me learn another account, but I am struggling as it is to get my line counts up enough to go on production.  Thankfully, they contacted the client and work should be coming in soon for the account I’m on.  Also, my main word list in Little Red Notebook is GONE for no apparent reason.  It was there yesterday before I shut down my PC.  No, I don’t have a backup on my work PC…and I use LRN every day.  I could cry.

Hurricane Dolly made landfall yesterday at South Padre Island, near my sister in Corpus Christi. I hope she’s ok. I need to check up on her. Flooding was the main concern with this storm, which was a Category 2 when it hit.

Of course, we did not see a drop of rain from it. We have a measly 20% chance today. Bah.
