Every year around the end of August, Albertsons gets in their batch of Hatch green chiles, fresh from New Mexico. They roast them outside and have recipes and dips for their customers to try. We always roast our own and then freeze them for multiple uses all year. One more thing that lets me know that fall is almost here!

I just got up. I slept in until almost 8:00 this morning, unheard of for me even on a Saturday. It was LOVELY.
Randy was off work all week, so he did the usual Wally World grocery run yesterday so as to avoid the annoyance of getting up this morning and going. He is my hero.
The sky has that look this morning. Grayish cumulus clouds with a bit of diffuse glow around them signifying a chance of rain and a milder temperature today, which around here means a high of 90 (or less). I can definitely handle that. The sky reminds me of one of our Sabino glass figurines. God is quite the artist.
I’m too tired today to write anything, so you’ll have to make do with this.
Funny, especially the “well off” part. *snickersnort*

I’ll say it again…cancer sucks.
It claimed another person in my life. I can’t imagine how many loved ones it takes away from this earthly life every single day.
This time it was my ex-General Manager’s wife. Sandra was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago. Although she continued to have problems from time to time related to her treatment, it was my understanding that she was cancer-free. According to what my former coworkers told me, she had been receiving chemo again and was in and out of the hospital over the past 3 weeks.
