Gratitude

For all the complaining I do on a daily basis, the week of Thanksgiving is a stark reminder of how blessed I really am.

First of all, without God I am nothing. Even when I ignore Him (which is often, I’m afraid), He still loves me and has a purpose for me through all my flaws. Wow. He also loves my enemies as much as he does me, and wants me to love them too. That is a challenge that I need to accept with Him in mind. When something bad happens, I have to try and remember His ways are not my ways (Isaiah 55:8). That’s a GOOD thing, even if I can’t understand the situation at the time.

My family, my husband, my friends, Wylie, Gracie, a nice roof over my head, plenty of food and drink, a job that is secure, my health…all of things things have been taken for granted and could be taken away tomorrow.

Thank YOU for being part of this very full life!
