Bittersweet

I received my Final results yesterday. 100% on the objective and 90% on transcription, graduating with Honors. I’m grateful, but I’m also disappointed. I really felt I had what it took to make High Honors. Is is so wrong for me to feel this way?

Although retaking the transcription portion is an option, I don’t have the luxury of time to invest. I would have to wait 6 weeks before they let me retake, then there is that lovely 2-week period while they grade. It almost killed me this time as it is! Anyway, I need to start working as soon as I can get a job. The bills don’t like to wait either.

amphionlogo.gifI’m going to apply for the Amphion Step Up Program, which is a graduate program that will enable “newbies” an opportunity to have 2 years’ experience waived for employment at Amphion Medical Solutions. They’ve been my company of choice since early in the course. I feel they will be a good fit for me. If I can cut it, that is.

I’m sorry if I sound whiny. My pride is just stinging a little. I worked so hard and wanted to achieve the highest standard. It just didn’t happen. One thing about me…I’m stubborn! I will keep pushing forward. Please keep me in your thoughts, and thank you for all those times you did.

:bananajam: Congratulations you did it and who cares about how high! Honors is honors not true? (or is it different in Texas?) Normally I go for 100% but nowadays I am glad with 60% for that makes me passed and I won’t have to do the subject again.
Me, I am counting the days till next Thursday when my result will be mailed to me and I would be glad wit 60% (well I would prefer a little higher mark but ………….oh well I’ll see what it brings.)

I thought it was only a 2-week wait before taking a retake. Did they change it? Either way, you should be happy girl!! Congrats!! You did it!! Now you can move on to the working world!! Best of luck!

Oops. You’re right! Still, it might as well be 6 weeks, in my mind! It seems like 2 weeks is an eternity when you are needing to work.
