Susan called this morning while I was out getting groceries. I called her back, knowing the news wouldn’t be good. She said on Thursday, she had to be taken to the ER. Her heart rate was 259 beats per minute. They put her on Lasix and atenolol to try to reduce the fluid built up inside her body. I didn’t even know you could survive with that much tachycardia. I can’t believe that cancer not only ravages you with tumors, but also with horrible systemic side effects. I hate this disease with a passion. She was told she is not to work anymore (which no one could believe she was doing at this point), and that she was to be using hospice care NOW. So far, hospice comes into her home for 4 hours on Tuesday and 4 hours on Thursday. I fear it won’t be long before she will require around-the-clock care, but I sure am thankful that it exists. Her insurance is still fighting against paying for it. SCREW THEM! Again, Susan has a great support group. They all have stars in their crowns, in my opinion. Who cares about things of the world?
Thanks again for your prayers. Please continue to “pray without ceasing” that Susan gets the care and comfort she needs before she enters into eternal peace in God’s Heavenly Kingdom, and that His will is done and not ours. :group-hug:
