Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I can’t believe it. It does not feel like it. Maybe the fact that it is 62.1 F, 16.7 C has something to do with it. Supposed to be similar temp on Turkey Day. (I don’t even LIKE turkey! Green bean casserole, please.)
I have to work the holiday and day after, popularly known this year as “Black Friday.” It’s just as well. There is no way I’d get out and fight someone over a “bargain” at 4 a.m. when some of the stores open. One thing I do look forward to, however, is looking through the ads in the newspaper tomorrow to see how the stores will try to outdo each other. Very entertaining. In fact, the circulars will dwarf the actual news (which is all bad anyway). That’s how we roll here in the good ol’ USA.
So although I’m working on Friday, at least I’ll be snug in my bed while all the fist-fights are breaking out in parking lots and stores everywhere in the name of commerce. Ahhhh…the holidays are here!
Just bring me the GB casserole and punkin’ pie and no one gets hurt.
