Did I mention how much I love autumn? I was all snug in my little cocoon of a bed this morning and was wishing the time had already “fallen back” so I could get that extra hour.
I stepped outside to let Wylie out. The stars were brighter than ever, with the Big Dipper in clear view as I glanced up. It’s staggering to think about how long the light took to reach me this day. As I looked at all the little diamonds in the sky, I wondered how many had already burned out and how long ago. Present time looks into the past. I wonder what the ancient ones thought about what they were seeing. So many mysteries.

I wish I had taken this photo…
I voted on Saturday. I didn’t want to at first, but then realized what a privilege it is to live in a country where I have the freedom to make my voice (however small) heard. I felt proud afterward. If you haven’t voted yet, PLEASE do it. It’s so easy and so important, no matter who you vote for.
I went for my followup appointment yesterday. I’ve lost 3 pounds since my first visit. Probably just water, but it’s still a start. Got a little more bad news but it’s nothing serious and can be treated. Basically, my system is out of balance and I need to get everything back on track. I can do this.
I hope you find your sense of balance in your physical and spiritual life. Let’s walk through this together, one step at a time.
