First I want to thank all of you for keeping Karen in your prayers.
She passed away yesterday.
Please continue to pray for her family, especially her grandmother. Karen took care of her grandmother. Miss Mag (as everyone calls the grandmother) told me once if anything happened to Karen she didn’t know what she would do.

Oh Susan, I am so sorry. Knowing she is with her Lord and Savior must be a comfort, though. No longer will she feel anything but joy!
I will continue to pray for her family.
I’m thinking and praying for you as well. Please let us know how you are doing.

How terrible, my sincerest condolences!

I’m doing okay, physically. Everyone I work with in the Psych department has been concerned. About all you can do at this poiint is hope that her last days were comfortable, and that she did not suffer. I have no doubt that she is in heaven and yes, Kathy, I am taking much comfort in that.
Otherwise, things are okay. I’m having some side effects from this round of chemo. The day after I feel nauseous. Phenigren takes care of it, but I can’t work and sleep at the same time. The pain is actually getting better. It’s to the point that if I sit or lie still, I’m pain free. And again, my co-workers are faboulous. They have helped me with grocery shopping and just getting around campus this past week. Overall, things are good.
