Two Weeks and Counting
Abilene will be in my rearview mirror by this time exactly 2 weeks from today. I’m ready. I just hope it won’t be too cold to walk around outdoors while there. Last year, we were lucky. There was snow on the ground but no wind. Plenty of sunshine helped make it very pleasant.
We are going to have reservations at Coyote Cafe, one of the gourmet restaurants near the Plaza. Yes, it’s a splurge, but I think we deserve it for surviving another crazy December. It will be nice to escape for a couple of hours, and experience some of the finest culinary creations in SF.
I’ve been running out of work almost every day this week, so my next paycheck is going to be very anemic. Once January rolls around, things should pick up. In fact, I was told by a coworker yesterday that mandatory overtime was implemented almost every day from March through August. It will be good to catch up and start putting a little money back for the leaner times that occur every year around the holidays. It’s true what they about MT…the first year is the hardest. Yet here I am…hard-headed as ever!
The moon was so bright this morning it almost hurt to look directly at it. Really amazing. Hope is all around if you look. I’m watching and waiting and leaving my options open.
Every time you’re looking forward to a Santa Fe trip, I wish I could come with you… I can’t get enough of seeing photos of it, it’s so beautiful! But I don’t want to be ungrateful, I’ve got my vacation lined up – 16 days till we go!
As for the rest of your post: I took a photo of the same moon (obviously LOL!) last night… Oh, and by the way: the hardest year is almost over!!
Enjoy your getaway. Have an ale and say ‘ello to the sun for me…
