It should be a requirement for all commercial airline pilots to take a safety course from the man who landed this plane in the Hudson River safely.  I can’t say this incident made me feel any better about flying into/out of Buffalo, NY (or anywhere else for that matter).  How do you keep birds from flying into the engines anyway?  Gulp.
