Sad Start
Madeline’s visitation is this evening. The funeral is tomorrow afternoon. I’m really feeling sad for Robert and Carla. This life on earth doesn’t make sense to me sometimes. I just hope Randy and I can be of some comfort, however small it may be. Rescue the Animals is also one of my favorite charities, so I plan on making a donation in her name. Please keep the Howard family in your thoughts and prayers.

Madeline Howard, 22, died Friday May 8, 2009.
Services will be held, Tuesday May 12, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Southwest Drive United Methodist Church officiated by Jack Dominguez. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, under the direction of North’s Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at North’s Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St.
Madeline was born September 20, 1986 to Robert and Carla (Young) Howard in Abilene, Texas. She was a 2005 graduate of Cooper High School. She attended CJC. She was employed at Jaguar’s and Howard Radio as an Administrative Assistant. She was active in track at Cooper High School. Madeline loved music and reading.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Emma Brigham. Maternal grandparents, Mattie and Bill Young. Two uncles; Louis Young and Gene Stevenson. One Aunt; Lavonia Young.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Carla Young Howard, grandfather, R. L. Howard and wife Donna. Aunt and Uncles; Martha and Don Alexander, Sarah Stevenson, Duane and Cathy Young, Letitia Howard Tatum. Numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be sent to Rescue the Animals; 5933 S. 1st. Abilene, Texas 79605.

This is such a tragedy. That beautiful young lady was a little bit younger than me. My sympathy and prayers go out to her family as well.
