Experience the style at the New York Botanical Garden’s Winter Wonderland Ball

On Friday night, some 400 fashionable guests flocked to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx for the return of the popular Winter Wonderland Ball. The glittering annual event, this time sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue with support from De Beers Jewelers and Veuve Clicquot, supports the beloved NYBG and its education programs for children. And how thrilled all the grown-up kids were to see the traditional Holiday Train Show, now in its 30th year!

The Black Tie Affair began with a festive cocktail party under the twinkling lights of the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory and a stroll through a collection of over 190 botanical replicas of New York City landmarks. The NYBG GLOW was also back: a colorful 2.5 km experience that lights up historic buildings and the iconic landscape of the Botanical Garden, including the city skyline.

After cocktails and champagne, guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner and dance to the music of DJ Mei Kwok in the Garden Terrace room. To end the evening on a sweet note, guests refueled after the dance floor by hitting the hot chocolate and De Beers cookie cart before heading home. You see, we are really just children at heart!

This year’s attendees included Winter Wonderland Ball conductor Georgina Bloomberg, Lili Buffett, Gillian Hearst, Larry Ross Milstein, Ariana Rockefeller, Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl, Serena Marron, Kerry Joyce, Jerome Lamaar, Charlotte Lebenthal Diamond, Alexandra Kittle, Lansing D. Moore Jr., Amelia EA Rudick and Zoe Weingarten. Other VIP guests in attendance included Tina Leung, Ezra William, Sophie Elgort, J. Alexander, Kit Keenan, Ivy Getty, Timo Weiland, Jessica Wang and Eric Rutherford, among others.
